掠奪性出版已經被關注了很長一段時間，但主流媒體報導和意識正在迅速加劇，或許對研究可信度造成的損害已足以讓涉及的利益相關者(大學、資助者和出版商)採取行動，不過還不清楚是甚麼樣的行動，對於越來越多的爭論，筆者認為值得重新審視這些年對掠奪性出版的一些報導。

1.“Predatory” Open Access Publishers — The Natural Extreme of an Author-Pays Model
    Kent Anderson在2012年首次撰寫關於這一現象的文章，重點放在作者支付模式上，而不是對整個OA的非難。不過，
    在評論中看到許多無條件支持Jeffrey Beall名單，後來則落入相當多的爭議。

3. Should We Retire the Term "Predatory Publishing"?
    Rick Anderson於2015年發文，關於Beall名單的一些問題，以及掠奪性出版的定義不明確的概念，建議大家關注
    欺騙性和惡意行為。

4. When Authors Get Caught in the Predatory (Illegitimate Publishing) Net
    Phaedra Cress 於2017年撰寫，討論陷入掠奪者網絡的作者的困境。

5. Predatory Publishing as a Rational Response to Poorly Governed Academic Incentives
   筆者於2017年撰寫，表明不是所有在掠奪性期刊上發表的作者都被愚弄了，有些人認為這是對管理不善的學術激勵
   結構的理性回應。

6. Paper Accepted…Unless the Letter Was Forged
    Angela Cochran 2018年提醒，有許多不同類型的騙局正在進行，有些不如掠奪性期刊那麼顯而易見。
